2023 Chrysler Pacifica problems: recalls, complaints and whether this is a year to avoid
The 2023 Chrysler Pacifica has 154 owner complaints on record with NHTSA, which ranks it 2 of 2 Chrysler Pacifica model years by complaint volume. That is the lowest of any year in the run — the 2018 car has 875. 14 recall entries cover this year.
Which recalls cover the 2023?
Electrical System
An internal transmission wiring connector may short circuit, resulting in an unexpected engine shutdown.
Free remedy: Dealers will update the Power Inverter Module (PIM) software and, if necessary, update the instrument panel cluster (IPC) and the electronic control module (ECM) software, free of charge.
Fuel System, Gasoline
The fuel line may be deformed, causing a fuel leak.
Free remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the fuel line as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 31, 2023. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403.
Electrical System
An electrical short may occur due to an incorrectly installed 12-volt battery isolator post, resulting in a fire while parked or driving.
Free remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete. Dealers will correct the isolator to fit the anti-rotation stud, free of charge.
Take the campaign number to any franchised Chrysler dealer. Recall repairs are free with no mileage or ownership limit, and they follow the car rather than the owner, so a used 2023 with an unrepaired campaign is a free repair you can claim. How recalls work.
